Kerala Vettri Kazhagam (KVK) is a people-centered social and political movement committed to the principles of secularism, equality, and social justice. Founded with the vision of creating a stronger and more inclusive Kerala, KVK works to empower citizens, protect democratic values, and ensure that every individual enjoys equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal respect. The movement believes that sustainable progress can only be achieved when development reaches every section of society, regardless of religion, caste, language, gender, or economic background. Through public engagement, social initiatives, youth empowerment, and community service, KVK strives to contribute towards a fair, transparent, and prosperous society.

V. Joseph Vijay
V. Joseph Vijay, the founder of TVK in Tamil Nadu, promotes secularism and social justice. His principal ideals are E. V. Ramasamy's anti-caste philosophy, K. Kamaraj's model of governance, and B. R. Ambedkar's ideals of equality. He seeks to build a corruption-free government founded on the principle that "all human beings are equal at birth."
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a prominent social reformer. He dedicated his entire life to fighting for the rights of Dalits and other marginalized communities in India, promoting social equality, opposing the caste system, and advocating for women's empowerment.
Mahatma Ayyankali
Mahatma Ayyankali, a leader of Kerala's renaissance whom Mahatma Gandhi described as the "King of the Pulayas," fought for the rights of the oppressed people of Kerala. He led the Villuvandi Protest, the movement for education for poor children, and the agricultural labourers' movement.
Thanthai Periyar
He was a revolutionary social reformer and rationalist who played a significant role in the socio-political sphere of South India. He fought against superstition and the caste system while advocating women's equality and social justice. He is popularly known as "Vaikom Veeran" (Hero of Vaikom) for his participation in the Vaikom Satyagraha.
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was the eleventh President of India and a renowned scientist, popularly known as the "Missile Man of India." He led a simple life and was an exceptional teacher who deeply loved young people, students, and education. His famous words, "Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action," inspired millions of young people.
K. Kelappan
K. Kelappan, popularly known as "Kerala Gandhi," was a freedom fighter and social reformer. He led the Payyannur Salt Satyagraha, the Vaikom Satyagraha, and the Guruvayur Satyagraha. He fought tirelessly against untouchability and for the rights of Dalits and other marginalized communities.
Leadership positions within KVK are earned through dedication and performance. From the Ward level to the State level, members who consistently demonstrate outstanding service, commitment, and organizational contributions are considered for leadership roles. Recognition certificates and official appreciations issued by the District and State leadership also play an important role in the selection process.
